What I mean is: allowing them to contribute to society /begin to integrate whilst their claim is being assessed has nothing but benefits (financially +personally) to both, this country +them without removing the right to deport them should it be decided that they don’t have a valid claim to asylum!

There is NO excuse not to grant asylum seekers short term work visas while their claims are being assessed!
My neighbor’s son (South African) entered legally with a short term visa which wasn’t renewed +he had to leave when it ran out
