DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

They lie like they breathe. Lie when they need to. Lie when they want to. Lie the rest of the time to undermine public faith that anyone's telling the truth.

Had some additional thoughts on the sedition thing that I felt compelled to jot down. www.pbump.net/o/so-were-ju...
So, we’re just moving on from the sedition-execution thing?
It's quite tidy how the whole thing worked out, in a way. Democratic members of Congress, recognizing that President Trump would be more than happy to dispatch the military to aid his political object...

Reminding the military of their duty to not obey illegal orders is not sedition. This is sedition:

Trump draws public attention, which is what the media craves as much as he does. Win-win.

Translation: "The Roberts court can be expected to back all major Trump policies. That's been the tradition since 1/20/25, which is (checks notes) nearly a 1000 year Reich."

Dems are hoping that voters screwed by this will blame Repubs for the cuts in 2026. Voters won't know whom to blame next week, let alone next year.

Meme-boosted false nostalgia for past prosperity that didn’t exist are picturing the average 1950s experience as ads and sitcoms, the 1980s as Home Alone, don’t get that the Simpsons was parodying this, etc.

Sort of like how people thinking of the Middle Ages imagine themselves a knight or noble.
People wildly overestimate the economic security experienced by past generations. There's no period in American history where significant numbers of young people were just handed high paying jobs. Nostalgia for a time that never existed is a huge problem.
Why Nikki Haley’s son went radical: His generation inherited insecurity.

I profile Nalin Haley, a fascinating young man, who I believe will likely play an important role in conservative politics in years to come.
