I can understand asking for nuance in these discussions, but deliberately muddying the water by bringing up automation tools that people understand are not generative AI and asking for a middle ground is disingenuous. The nuanced position is that people are roundly rejecting the tech, respect that.
So many times, I just wanna be smarmy or snarky about how dumb AI is and how it’s getting the worst people into trouble. But, honestly, it is useful in helping me believe who’s the offending party in this whole lawsuit situation.
