MSFS 2024 SU4 releases with multi-threaded CPU optimization, just a couple months later X-Plane 12.4.0 releases in beta with...multi-threaded CPU optimization.
As dead as X-Plane is in terms of addon support, MSFS lit the fire under their asses that they needed.

MSFS 2024 first impressions: Whoever designed the UI and control bindings needs to be strangled, burned, quartered and flayed.
Past those issues, the recent CPU multicore optimizations are legit, and most 3rd party addon devs are moving to this sim, so it'll be a keeper for the next several years.

If the public resists the hype, then line does not go up.

E33 and Arc Raiders winning big at The Game Awards proves most people are okay with AI in very specific cases. We need to avoid normalizing AI.
Maybe I'm biased, but as someone who graduated into the worst job market for new grads thanks to AI, we need to actively reject AI in all media.
