Found myself Jonesing for fennel (yes, I get vegetable cravings). Got fennel. Applying for a bank loan now to pay for it and wishing I lived on the Continent where the choices and prices of fresh food are way more reasonable.

If you ever fancied visiting Berlin at a time of peak decadence and danger, try my friend Brendan’s novels. And in Berlin, his wonderful Isherwood walking tour.

The endlessly entertaining algorithms of Instagram have me currently seeing endless cute animal (mainly cats/dogs) videos, and nonstop adverts in which women rearrange their breasts with the help of a variety of hoists. No one's made ear muffs from them yet, but there's time.

I would worry about how the Chancellor was taking a chunk of my pay but a company run by a billionaire decided it didn't need anyone in Scotland working on the Scottish edition of one of its papers. Still found enough cash to buy the Telegraph, though. It's almost like tax isn't the problem.

By the way, if you need a giggle, head over to Amazon (yeah, I know, but you can be there solely as a tourist) and read reviews of toilet roll. Especially the low star reviews.

Is this something you might know, @harrymccracken.com? If not, sorry to bother you.
Let’s try this. Any iOS users able to recommend an audio player with AB repeat which lets you select sections of a track from a waveform or at least in sub-second intervals. Using Offle which is great for 99p, but only works in seconds, which is too much for looping music well. #idontknow #ios
