The other day I bought this door stopper at Kohl’s because I needed one, it was on sale, and cute. I haven’t been able to capture it yet, but the dog keeps touching noses with it, as if to check that it is still not real, which is super cute and warms my cold heart

Yesterday, if someone had asked me how I felt about the Economist, I would have said I lost interest in it decades ago, but I guess maybe it is still okay.
Today, I have to admit I was very wrong about the second part, and wonder if it hurt when you bent the knee that hard.

It did take a while to kick into gear and sadly, I was mostly skimming once it did. I read the last chapter to find out what happened, but not really that much else.
I guess fungi infections aren’t really my thing

I finally got around to reading Mexican Gothic, & I don’t think I am a Gothic fan anymore— I skimmed the last half of the book.
I liked the Mexican part, since 1950 era Mexico society is new to me & I like learning new things, but that was mostly scattered exposition.
On to the next book

I just realized I don't really have any firm plans for the weekend other than a brief interaction with the kids next door on Sunday, and it feels glorious.
