I had the boxed set of Captain Scarlet for Christmas and have been dipping in and out - genuinely impressed at how well told/thrilling/scary they are.

Hi #PortfolioDay, I'm Alison, an artist and sometimes writer from London, UK, and I draw comics, book covers and editorial. Can't show you the sequentials I'm drawing right now but I'm open for covers (especially books), comic writing and to discuss the next thing.

sticker up for immigrants f*ck reform too many people i love are being victimized by nigel farage and i am going to mobilise the entire uk comics industry to fucking defeat him and protect myself, immigrants and refugees our target is the 2026 local council elections. through targetted sticker and flyer campaigns i aim to destroy reform UK's momentum in vulnerable constituencies throughout the UK this is a link to resources. I am sorry people who use screen readers I am not able to transcribe everything. I am one guy and I am doing this on voluntary basis. if you use a screen reader and have mates who would be willing to help me convert my text posts into readable formats please link us up

Just watched the trailer for WONDER MAN... that was... odd.

As an experience, well, it's in the name...

Yeah, because of the built-in audience of Schwarzenegger movie I think they feel they have to lift the tone to popcorn levels rather than stick with the dystopian grit that The Long Walk had.

Yeah I get this feeling too. I mean he seems nice and all that, but Hollywood seems DESPERATE for him to be big

I'm still unemployed (🙃), so if you fancy:

I need you all to appreciate this card I got for my mum after her full knee replacement
A photo of a greeting card sitting on a windowsill in a hospital room. There is a cartoon picture of a bone knee with a replacement joint, flanked by the text: "A-knee excuse for some time off! Get well soon"

I love Holly Hunter but I don't know what she's doing in that trailer, she's edited to look like a mood-swinging lunatic.

Yeah I got sent the trailer last night and my reaction was a massive "NOPE" before I even really know why. It just looks like a mess of bland pretty high school drama cliches in a sci-fi setting. The Klingon guy's line was so cringe I almost got cramp....

Brian Bolland covered the Batman Official Annual 1982 (UK). Presented as published, and without lettering.
Under the Bat-Signal, Batman stands holding a joker playing card, as the Joker levels a gun at his back. Published cover. Same - no lettering.

Our thrilling third series starts with the cracking Cracker from 1975, featuring some dodgy scientific practice, a range of eerily familiar characters, and an awful lot of Sammy. Only 6p!

Photobucket’s collapse is a master class of brand failure.

Come take a walk with me on why a once popular web storage website is on death’s door.

Hmmm. Yes. Disappointing.

This is what I came here for. Its not a cheap book so I was already planning to wait for the paperback. I think the library might be a better option.
