A reminder that as much as we'd like the Labour government to be only looking to the future, there are still many things coming to light from the Tory years which need fixing.

Like this; which ought to have a rare positive thing the Tories did, but still left a mess for Labour to clean up.

Good. This is what should have happened to begin with. Not consulting disabled people on the previous proposed changes was a mistake, and I am glad they are trying to do the right thing this time around.

You seem to be accepting the media spin that is overemphasising a single aspect of a particular visa so that people think they are both racist & not doing anything else on immigration. 🙄

It’s for workers who will earn more than most of the indigenous population.

“A-Level” is a media equivocation, not part of the rules Labour is changing.

This is for skilled workers only, so not a major issue.

This is another reason why the Best Start Family Hubs / Best Start website will be so important when fully up & running: as a source of trusted, reliable information.

Fair Work Agency

This is another benefit of the Employment Rights Bill.

The agency, which has just had its first Chair appointed, will start operating from April 2026 and will be the new body to enforce workers rights - both existing and new rights.

It brings together responsibilities...

Yesterday the Bus Services (No2) Bill completed its process through Parliament.

It now goes to the King for Royal Assent, when it becomes law.

As well as overturning the ban on public ownership of bus companies, it gives local authorities more power over who runs buses, fares, routes & timetables.

Oh please! 🤦

The threshold for WFA is £35k & despite media frenzy, no pensioners actually suffered last winter. Indeed 1000’s more are now on pension credit getting nearly 5k more a year.

Labour is removing the cap 🤦

They rolled back on the PIP cuts.

Hardly “going after”🤷
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Sure ok. 👌

Maybe you just need to talk to non tankies?

You know the election isn’t for a while, right?

Perhaps it’s even far enough away for you to learn about what they are doing instead of just vomiting illinformed bs you’ve been fed onto social media!
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Then, as previously implied, you’re an idiot with a child’s understanding.

They have a detailed plan, set out in the manifesto, which they’re delivering on.

I’ve given you all the evidence for this & all you have is opinion pieces & conspiracy theories! 🙄🤦

Not being Corbyn is a good start!
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Again, confidently asserting debunked lies is not the same as being correct.

Your irrational, ideologically driven hatred blinds you to the fact that if Labour lose, which you are SOOOO looking forward to, Reform/Cons take over. But maybe that’s what you want? 🤷
Proves the horseshoe theory really

GB Energy isn’t “a bung to business” it’s a publicly owned energy investment & production company that is involved in 100+ projects around the UK. Do you really think they can organise, fund & build massive new green energy production infrastructure in 12 months! 🙄🤦
lazytitan258.bsky.social
That’s just a lie, employment rights aren’t being watered down at all, labour just threw out all the watering down amendments from Tory, LD & Green Lords ffs! 🤦

Labour do have a major house building programme, & council houses too, do you just ignore inconvenient facts, we’ve covered this already!
lazytitan258.bsky.social
It’s not saying that if you actually read it.

It’s saying they inherited a smoking ruin & have constraints on what they can do. I disagree with the use of austerity, which is a lazy way to talk about reducing departmental spending when it’s not reducing public services.

Wealth taxes don’t work.

Ds didn’t shut down the government.

Ds withheld their votes, refusing to be accomplices to devastating cuts and this lawless administration.

Rs have all the seats they need to pass whatever they want. They don’t have the balls.

Ds are proud to stand up for America/ns. We did it. 🤞we’d do it again

That’s nice for you, not the rest of the country, but for you, eh?

I assume you never complain about the state of the roads, or public services either? Oh but of course you do! 🙄🤮
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Enhanced employment right, repealing anti TU laws, renters rights, growing the economy, huge green energy production investment to reduce energy costs - just a few to the things they’ve already done which are apparently an “utter irrelevance” to workers!

Good luck with the Yawn party! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Your inability to admit you were wrong was what led to this.

You’ve been shifting topics whenever I disprove your claims and displaying your utter ignorance throughout our whole conversation.

I get you hate Labour because you supported Corbyn & have drunk the tankie KoolAid, but come on! 🙄
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Dude, you’re so lame!

Is Lichfield part of Birmingham too? Because it’s between Birmingham & Handsacre. 🙄🤦
lazytitan258.bsky.social
They do. Do you remember when they did that last year?

You know when Starmer’s Labour won the same amount of seats in one election as Corbyn managed in 2 elections.

🤔

Do you need a tissue?
lazytitan258.bsky.social
You literally said it was “north of Birmingham”, but because that would contradict your other statement, you can’t admit it.

You have no idea what Labour are offering, since you have just absorbed tankie rhetoric & regurgitate it without any actual knowledge.
