That's what most protests are, the fighting usually don't start until the cops decide they want to cause problems.
Damn straight, don't gotta get them all, just gotta get enough.
Now if only we could mobilize those kinds of numbers for some direct action.
Is the event itself gonna accomplish anything? Probably not. But it is fun, and the libs are much more friendly to the idea of anarchists when they see them handing out water and letting them pet your dog. Plus it does seem to genuinely upset the fash, and that's always nice.
I know very little about England, but I do know y'all eat the shit out of kebabs and curry, and there ain't no fucking way she ain't never had none.

if you're going to a protest today I wish you luck. The only specific thing I will beg of you is this: don't use milk to wash out tear gas or mace. if you see a street medic with milk, yell at them until they throw it out. do not continue to spread lies about emergency medicine.

The thing about anarchist organizing is it’s not flashy. It’s free meals, eye exams, pet supplies, water, firewood, firearms training, first aid training, zines, mending, gardening, direct action, black bloc… it’s not politicians or clever signs. No RSVP, no membership card, no website, just do it.
Yup, that's what makes it special. It's something you can just do, and something that people do every day without realizing it.
Wow, you're really just chugging down that propaganda kool-aid, huh? Not even waiting for it to get out the pitcher or nothing.
Take a wild guess what group was a major player in organizing and agitating for the US labor movement that you want a second of (even though it never actually stopped). I'll give you a hint; it's who you've been arguing against this entire thread.
That gut desire to help is the real human streak. The rest is the conditions the state and countless other hierarchies have thrust upon you in a desperate attempt to drive that instinct out of you.
The cruel, greedy, and powerful people are the ones writing those rules. Our basic instincts are to cooperate and help each other. How many times have you seen someone in desperate need only to force yourself from helping because you "can't" for any number of reasons?
And if anything, the denial of selfish cruelty is how we became the species we are. You can't make a community without things like cooperation and mutual aid.
Literally because the material conditions of capitalism reinforce and encourage those traits. Even if there truly was a "dark strain", whatever that means, the cool thing about being human is that we have the capacity to deny our natural inclinations.
Get them special Micheal Jackson shoes so you can lean way forward.
Conceptually fucks, functionally sucks. Ideally you don't want to get knocked on your ass in a fight.

I follow a Norwegian lighthouse keeper named Paal Bjørndal whose whole bit is sharing profound things that are inaudible due to high winds. I love the internet.
The loudest voices online are usually the worst ones to listen to.

"Transsexuality is bourgeois" reflects the common belief that medicine, technology, and any improvements to quality of life are owed to capitalism. The reality is that capitalism holds these improvements hostage for the sake of wealth.
So that community of 2000 people is overlapping with multiple other communities, each of which overlaps with other communities. You gotta stop thinking in borders and sharp lines, it comes from a lack of faith in humanity.
I used to think like you. If you'd asked back in the day, I'd probably worded the same way. Here's the thing, you're imagining these 2000 people as a bubble with hard edges. That's not how it works in practice though. Communities are clouds that overlap with each other.
Alright, so yeah, you're absolutely approaching it from bad faith and, willfully or not, are completely ignorant of what we want and how we aim to achieve it. What's your deal? Marxist? Demsoc? Liberal?

FINDS THEM AND KILLS THEM

"Finds Them and Kills Them (Osh-Tisch) looked like a man, but wore women's clothing and had the heart of a woman.... she was brave and good."
― Pretty Shield

Her strength as a warrior is what earned her the name Osh-Tisch, which translates to “finds them and kills them."
Uhg, and here I thought you were genuinely asking or of good faith, but fuck me I guess. I'm still willing to direct you to multiple essays on the subject if you'd like, but I can already tell that's about as far as this conversation is gonna go.
