I just realized I never posted the RAC-BOT redesign stuff here so uhhh here she is !

A front view angle of my fursona RAC-BOT, an anthropomorphic robotic raccoon. She dons a dark purple cap with a golden band and two pins on it, a crop top the same colour as its cap, a long lavender skirt and golden bangles on its wrists. Not pictured here is its fingerless gloves because I forgot them.

To the front view's right is a small posed doodle with her using the rockets in her forelegs to float in place, she holds a yellow spraycan while looking vaugely downwards.

Inbetween the two drawings is the colour palette used for her.

The same front view drawing as before but without any clothes (except the hat), showing off her robotic body, It's coloured in shades of brown and tan with purple highlights on its hair.

Its forelegs and several visible joints are shades of dark dirty lavender.

I wouldn’t say Ranma is intentionally queer art, but I do believe part of why it resonates with queer folks is the manga doing “it’s funny people don’t care he turns into a girl because they think his girl form is cute” instead of “oh whoops better hide this, it would be embarrassing if people knew”

The new anime finally adapts the manga version and then lets this affect the status quo from now on, doing things like letting Ranma openly swim with the other girls at school or his boy classmates being confused not that Ranma is a girl but why he’s currently working as a waitress at a ramen shop

This is a huge change because not only did it mean the original anime couldn’t do the running gag of “everyone is weirdly nonchalant about this guy turning into a girl” but it also took agency away from Ranma and used his girl form as humiliation against him instead of him weaponizing his femininity

okay so for those who aren’t familiar, this moment in the manga is when Ranma reveals his curse to the school as part of a scheme of his, and the original anime for some reason didn’t do it and instead had Ranma have his curse revealed against his will in an embarrassing way near the end of the show

It’s so funny that the generation of people who told me CONSTANTLY in school that Wikipedia isn’t a reliable source are now among many of the same people who believe anything they read online and share AI generated slop. I’d trust Wikipedia more than anything to come from AI any day, it has SOURCES!
