Texas elementary teacher was directed (same as all schools in their ISD) to remove unapproved books. This bookcase was previously full. (And none of the books were controversial, they just weren’t on the approved list.)
Just so yall know, the teacher this belongs to is in tears. And they are an elementary school teacher, and none of the books they removed were controversial or banned. Just not on the approved list of books.

A mother and her 15 year old autistic son are reunited after nearly 50 days apart.
Emmanuel Garcia went missing, and rather than check missing person’s reports, Houston PD called ICE.
ICE sent him to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and his mom has been fighting to get him back ever since.
