Plans haven't been approved because plans haven't even been drawn. Just a shitty rendering. It takes years to get fully coordinated constructable plans.

This will be a pile of rubble and an abandoned project in no time.

Any architect/contractor working on this should have their license revoked.

So no municipal plan check, no permits, especially fire/life safety? Who is the architect? Who inspects the work? Was it competitively bid? Is there sufficient parking? ADA facilities? Existing water supply for fire sprinklers? Haven’t followed the timeline, it seems like it’s just being thrown up.

I am also curious to view the US government contract that allows for this construction project.

NYT seems proud to be the Shithole of Record these days.

Outdoing themselves daily when it comes to having no journalistic integrity.

No mention at all of the fact that Trump doesn't have the legal authority to do this, that plans haven't even been reviewed (because the office is closed for the government shutdown), that the size and cost estimates keep changing, etc., etc.

Once again, one reason Trump says & does whatever he wants is bc every societal institution, including the media, has totally normalized & internalized the idea that the laws, the Constitution, & the international treaties we have signed & ratified simply don’t apply to this one guy. It’s maddening.

Donald Trump is not paying for the huge construction projects at the WH out of his pocket like MAGA claims. He started out with that lie, but then admitted more than once, on video, that he’s been shaking down CEOs & rich people who want something from the government. As usual.

Oh, oh, I know who committed the crime! Ask me, ask me!! 🙋🏻‍♂️
The survivor of a U.S. strike on a submersible vessel accused by the Trump administration of transporting drugs in the Caribbean was released by authorities in Ecuador after prosecutors said they had no evidence he committed a crime.

I guess they don’t think the images of Trump tearing apart the WH and grounds are helpful to them.
