I must know: is the food and drink situation in the Scottish parliament unreasonably excellent in the same manner as Westminster and others or is it crap to own the colonisers?

A system of lethal, on the spot law enforcement, where officers would act as judge, jury and executioner, and dispense instant summary justice. Give them huge motorbikes. Probably be fine.

Fundamentally the Labour Party is like the Catholic Church. You can stop turning up and paying your dues, you can change the entirety of your belief system, but on a deep spiritual level, you can never truly leave the Labour Party

Amazing how long this style of hat stayed in the mix despite being absolutely hideous.
I guess it was really good for keeping your ears and back of your neck warm at the frost fair etc?
I think I’d just stay home by the fire though.

Mel really was a sexy lad though.
Running! Mel Gibson! Pointless sacrifice! Leopards*! This week, we're watching the amazing Gallipoli, one of the best films about WW1 and trying to outrun a big cat.

Do companies still do those industrial scholarships for university?
November 27, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Every time I see the word “Enron”, I’m reminded of how smug the absolute worst bitch in my class at school was about her Arthur Anderson industrial scholarship to university and the utter delight of seeing her moping along the Strand just after it all went to shit.
This is how Enron did its accounting (seriously)
On one side of the ledger, we have half a trillion dollars in operating losses expected over the next 5 years.

On the other side of the ledger, we have all the money we'll hypothetically make when the hypothetical technology we imagine comes into existence mostly on its own.

So it's net positive.

Yet another rail journey between London and Glasgow, fucked.
The distressed state of this country’s infrastructure is so tiresome and its failures so very wasteful.
