#Astros have been a tough watch/listen for two months now. Still firmly believe the Mariners are the better team, but as we’ve learned (2019?), the better team doesn’t always come out on top.

Hate when I feel compelled to turn off the #astros game after the 5th inning. Maybe a playoff team (plenty of time for them to play themselves out of that, too), but not going to be a successful one.

There has never been a more embarrassing time to be an American.
One of the (many) dumb things about this is that the Natl Mall is *already* one of the most policed areas of the entire country—more than a dozen agencies cover it. Using fed special agents for line police work here is asking the Lakers to skip the NBA to staff high school games as ball-boys.

There has never been a more embarrassing time to be an American.
Maybe I should be relieved by the #Astros complete implosion and trajectory to miss the playoffs entirely. I have a pretty busy fall of performances, and could use some more time to practice.

The nice thing about turning off #Astros games off so early (and maybe for the rest of the season?) is that I’m getting more reading in, which is good.

Every day, it just seems to get that much worse. What a despicable group of people.
I really, really want McCullers to be great, but this one occasional good start surrounded by nights like this only hurts the #Astros chances of winning the division.

That would indeed be nice, but I’m becoming increasingly convinced that an Insurrection Act declaration next October will disallow that from happening.
