I don't get new ratings on Goodreads very often anymore, but they are pretty consistent. Maybe you should take the hint and read "Everything I Know About Zombies, I Learned in Kindergarten". I promise that it will be worth your time.

Unlike my real-life vocabulary, I doubt that @profanity.accountant will find much of anything to count in my online presence.

There's only one play that I can quote large sections of by heart: Tom Stoppard's "Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern are Dead". You could probably even blame him for my lifelong fondness for cover versions and reworkings.

RIP, Mr Stoppard.

Always interesting to compare the "economic impact" articles about TSMC vs. the list of jobs available in TSMC's ZIP code.

I, on the other hand, shelled out good money for the four-volume hardcover "Drive" set. Well worth it.

Those that know me know that I listen to a *lot* of ska and rocksteady. Not many still have me randomly bursting into song the next day.

There's a historical reason for this slur, but I can't imagine what was going in in 1943 that made Maggie use "condensed form of an atom" as a slur in a comic strip.

Occasionally, someone nails it.
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

Once I got to the mountain top, tell you what I could see
Prairie full of lost souls running from the priests of iniquity
Where the hell was Elijah
What do you do when the prophecy game was through
We gotta take the walls of Jericho
Put your lips together and blow

I've always admired Brian Eno for his attempt at designing music that stayed far enough in the background that one could listen to it all day, every day, without psychic pain.
