IMO: There's so much to be enjoyed by Wicked's first half. However, since it ultimately must tie into a preexisting story, it suddenly has to railroad itself, and unfortunately the characterizations and events that unfold in the first half clash too greatly with the second half.

This morning we said goodbye to my baby, Himeko 姫子
For 14 and a half years I gave her a life where she was always happy, healthy, and strong. Even at age 13 she could jump three feet up into our bed. She loved carrots and apples and salmon. She could perform tricks to English and Japanese commands.
