Making progress on finishing the Fomoroid, but here is the assembled Wyndscal Wanderers so far.

This project is a take on a new Chaos faction, akin to darkoath but with alot of callbacks to the Norsca of old. A mixed roster, marauder force.

GW looking for a Miniatures Design Manager, whilst something I'd love to explore I'm not sure my kitbashing ability to move concept to execution brings me to the level of those with real creative ability to execute vision from concept to models as I lack those concept/sculpting

Wyndscal Wanderers
Valkyrja, the Raven of the Everchosen, Valkyrie of the Eternal Host.

She who collects the champions of the Wyndscal for the Warrior King at the heart of the realms, preparing them for the great battle to come against the invading tyrant (Sigmar).

Workin on how the mythology of Wyndscal evolved in the absence of Sigmar. Though the tribes always kept civilization at arms length and worshipped the primal powers of Everwinter they saw lesser gods as distracting them from their true purpose yet acknowledged the warrior king seeking champions

A better closeup of the Once and Final King, same early stage of painting as the previous shot but less ecliped by a thundertusk

I'm considering one last hero concept for my Norse/Norsca themed AOS force (this might be long winded).

If we setup Archaon as the Wydnscal ideal (undivided, beholden to none) as the Odin equivalent.

What if Abraxia conversion on Morrgryph as Odins raven/Valkyrie equivalent

Wyndscal Wanderers:
WIP Waltheof, The Once and Final King

Starting to work on the last (and now deposed) king of the Wyndscal tribes, trudging along in the wake of the migration bound to his oaths eternal.

Well ordered these two kits (pictures from gw store) to make the concept, it ticked two of the core words for the force (Vaguelly Norse, Undivided) with tangental links to others (Crones from link to Archaons eye relic, Archaon as Odin equivalent etc) enough to fit the theme

Having spent some time on Minicompare I'm now eyeing up the bloodbowl heads as they feel like they might be closer to the size and really sell norsca over nun

Since my Norsca AOS uses the oldworld marauders its mostly dudes, so to diversify it a little I'm considering Frydaal from The Old World as a militaristic hero, and then using SOB hooded heads on Chaos Warriors as an elite Valkyrie-esque force.

Good idea or Bad?

Wyndscal Wanderers:

Frosthorn (Wooly Rhino) assembly nearly finished, and todays model arriving is the Beastman hero leads the Stalagor. Magic is corruptive by its very nature, it has fractured, divided, split the beastmen. The Stalagor trust in the strength of Everwinter

Wyndscal Frosthorn

Very early, very rough WIP on the Wooly Rhino conversion, ran out of greenstuff to give a fur/blankets padding around the skull saddle and got alot more to add but this is the rough shape.

New mutilators incoming, it might be personal taste but i find these really tame/armoured as opposed to the old warping weapons to suit the purpose.
