If there is one thing that truly terrifies me, it's that the gap between Simpsons movie one and two, is longer than the gap from episode one, to the first movie
I love it, but I really understand why some people don't. I do use it, but it's more important to me that it just exists.
Yeah - I get that. I explain it like email servers - you can send email to anybody, but you still have your server you use (and you have to pick one suitable for you). I don't think there's a way that bit can be meaningfully made simpler without compromising the 'no one controlling entity'.
I know almost nobody else is there, but this is why I love Mastodon so much, and it's still think it's important. There has to be something that's not controlled by one person or company
Big feature is `swrite` allows you to modify cards without loading in an editor. Also - `scard` now has customizable Jinja 2 templates for output.

And colour output, because it made me happy.

I'd like some more of the MD template to be coloured now... tempted to start parsing other formatting.
#ScrumMD, the CLI tool for managing tickets, work or cards (and yeah, originally designed for #Scrum) as #markdown files, that absolutely nobody but me wanted (and even fewer people asked for) has been updated to v0.2.

`pip install scrummd`

(even if it is a mistake... meh. You don't get automated unit tests to write to find them like I do. For any error to get anywhere, it normally has to be missed by multiple people. Things happen, it's OK, we're human. Still value your work, because I wouldn't be doing these without your tutorials)
Emailed to double check with the sat paper enquiries a few house back. And apologised profusely in case I'd missed something. It'll probably work it's way to you.

(or IT)

Didn't want to send a filled out board here and spoil it if it somehow ended up on somebody's timeline.
@lrlr.bsky.social Gah!

Every space plausibly filled, but "Not quite"

Loved the Locks clue BTW
Now I've got that unenviable decision of 'How much of this am I going to try to introduce at once?'

Thing is - this is primarily for #sologaming - and I don't know how many new rules will fit in my head at once.
Finally got the #SpaceEmpires4X expansions from #gmtgames!

The good is that they look great, and I finally have them. All Good Things has just been released, but the other two have just been hard to find.

But...

#boardgames #wargames
This stupid thing has been stuck in my head for days
the ev-i-dence before the court
is in-con-tra-ver-ta-ble there's
no need for the jur-y to re-turn

in all my years of judg-ing i've
ne-ver hear of be-fore of
some one more de-ser-ving the full
pen-al-ty of the law

(casing intentional)
A significant chunk of #PinkFloyd's 'The Trial's (the judgment section) can be sung to the tune of #BillieEilish's Bad Guy.
My brain makes #music connections it shouldn't. After figuring out Good Riddance by Green Day can be sung to the tune of The Buggles' Video Killed   The Radio Star, I've got a new one, and it's weird, and it's stuck in my head.

You ready for this?

A reporter from the Australian is one of the group of signatories to the Pentagon's new press corps rules which prompted a universal walk-out from credible news outlets.

In today's 'Herald Sun', Andrew Bolt describes Trump as 'brilliant' and says he was swindled out of the Nobel Prize. Here's what Bolt used to say before Rupert pulled him into line.
(reposted because wrong link got previewed)
@3ma.bsky.social As a group, have you been tempted to revisit train games (with the wonders of 18xx.games and choochoo.games now available), or look at GMTs COIN/Irregular Conflict series? The upcoming Cross Bronx Expressway is pretty fascinating.
... So Greg could be an Australian MP? That uh... kinda checks out. We've got some funk in our houses too!
@ifbookspod.bsky.social So... that making up advice column letters to answer has been enshrined in the Australian Parliament for a long time.
When our ministers ask a planted question in question-time to their own party, they're referred to as "Dorothy Dixer"s.
Weirdly, after a US columnist.
Everything that they perform is in character in the universe of serial numbers filed off mega man. Even their album of covers is the soundtrack to a film that doesn't exist from inside their universe.

(Of the artists you listed, The Tripod/Eddie Perfect A Capella album is something special)
Not AU, but I was really excited to see Protomen have released Act 3 on Bandcamp (well, are releasing it one track a week)

I know little about your musical tastes, but I suspect as a band they might match your thematic tastes.

On the other hand, shipping of the CD to AU is :(
Read this years ago, but only a 1/3 through the episode.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the entire book can basically be summarised as a slightly cynical "give a crap about people and their interests", right? (That, and some kinda sucky manipulation)
EA Sports:
It's all recycled.
