Poetry drabble x+1
You're a bummer. I declare, becoming someone I despise. You're bothersome. I'm simmering with resentment. Like a soup. Like a souffle. A monster stitched together from annoyance. I’m a furnace. I notice peeves like grains of sand. Walks along the beach are for imagining revenge. I would place your cheek against my chest so you can sense the familiar, heady mix of heat and poison. It's forever. Nothing will reduce it. An outstretched arm, a gentle hand opposing ocean waves. Presumably you understand. You read the news as well. You see where all this countless anger comes from. If I had to guess: not recommended by most doctors. I'm a ragdoll where it matters. Veins nearly full with dryer lint. I don't know how anybody lives like this, if I'm being honest. On fire all the time. I hate the men that poured the gasoline. I may go spraying venom into that goodnight. When I'm dead, you can say she was incensed. She fumed until the motor oil leaked out. I hope I'll be a ghost so the anger tags along. Imagine all that bile abandoned in the blameless dirt. Left alone, it pollutes the groundwater. Lowers test scores at the high school. Let me place the rage inside my luggage. Let it come with me for the trip I planned.
