Things used in everyday life are the real archaeological treasures! These sewing #needles were made from animal bone some 15,000 years ago. Some designs simply don't need to be improved, because form and functions were perfectly matched from the start. Form follows function! 🧵1/2

By this stage of the night, over 2/3rds of the sky around me was glowing, no focus point to work with, so a 5 frame beach panorama worked best.

A *huge* vaccine victory. I've been writing on this for years; Australia has seen remarkable progress in cervical cancer prevention with the HPV vaccine. I love seeing science triumph like this.

Great doing reo & tikanga papers this year! Tikanga was home based over 12 month. Kaiako visited every 2 months to assess/mark/awhina. Reo classes were 6 hours a week (evening) at two online weekend noho. I considered quitting several times but even with hysterectomy my kaiako held space for me 🖤🤍♥️
