So this is what the National Guard has been reduced to, being beat cops? So what happens when there’s a natural disaster, which Guardsmen assist with. This is demoralizing and disgraceful.
The National Guard needs to have a babysitter, so they don't get hurt. This is not what National Guard Members signed up for, yet here we are today. They are being forced to act as police officers. The starting pay for DC cops is 80K, Guard Members start pay: 24K or LESS!
