Also some of those run backs are unnecessarily frustrating.

You can slam your face against a boss in Souls games or Ori. But you can get back into the fray quickly and learn.

The runback feels stressful and you risk losing hundreds of beads. It reminds me of the outdated design of ninja gaiden.

Beastfly is ads plus RNG. It feels more luck than skill and there's a lot that's out of your control.

2 Mask damage (out of only 5 health masks) feels unnecessarily punishing for touching a boss that's stunned. You earned that stun by learning its patterns and dieing to that feels terrible

Silksong is like Hades. The art is wonderfully moody and Hornet is responsive and snappy. It's hard as hell and mostly fair.

But the design of some bosses and encounters seem difficult for the sake of it instead of feeling like you're solving a combat puzzle.
