When ever one of those AI bros tires to tell you that artist are gatekeeping art remember that pros, armatures, hobbyist all stopped what they where doing to provide guidance to a newbie artist over the shared experience that "this one angle is hard to draw"
Everything around me has gotten more expensive.
And though the worth of my pottery has not gone up to ME..
I need to increase my prices.
I also hope to not have to go back to Etsy or ship stuff again.

the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now
