Either I have bad taste (I do) or no early reviewers played Five Nights at Freddy's 2, but I had a jolly time at the movie and I think it's a well executed horror movie for kids filled with fun easter eggs. It may not be accessible to non-game players, maybe, but I liked it a lot as an enjoyer.

i absolutely agree with her on this. TLJ was incredibly well received the first 48 hours and then the youtubers attacked and the whole narrative around the film changed so quickly
Bleak assessment by Leslye. In short: reaction/analysis content creators can shape or even eclipse how a project's received, and studios give that ecosystem unjust weight.
She's too kind here to this lucrative form of cultural vivisection, but recognizing it is a first step to fighting it.

I love my mother dearly but sometimes her solutions to my money problems, that being, "Well, make more money" doesn't hit in the way she hopes.
