Coming back to say this: our protests mean nothing to these people. Especially when they’re on a weekend. You want to make an impact? Protest for several days during the week and shut a major city down. In other words, a general strike. Holding signs and wearing costumes ain’t getting it done.

There was a massive turnout at the Fayette democrat event. It was too crowded and loud to hear anything, but I had 2 main takeaways:
1. It was overwhelmingly attended by people over the age of 60.
2. I only saw 1 non-white person in attendance.
Both of these things are huge issues.

I’ve somehow found myself at a Fayette County Democrat event in Lexington, Kentucky. There’s a ton of people here. I didn’t mean to be here, but now I’m curious.

I try not to consume social media. I find it exhausting, which is the point. My current goal is to simply push back when people tell me what they saw on facebook, Xitter, etc. and call out the bullshit when I hear it. People need those voices IRL, because they’re not getting them online.

I’m pretty liberal, but I can’t help but feel thankful that I live in a pro-2nd amendment state during this time of tyranny. It’s not just the racist magats and GOP that exercises their rights. I wonder if those on the right realize that…?

It should be clear by now that the dem establishment doesn’t give a fuck about us. They’re all fat cats who stand to gain as much as these right-wing fascists. Why are so many voting to confirm tRumps appointees? Why are they trading stocks? Why aren’t they mobilizing their base? We’re fucked.

I’m worried that Mexican and Canadian tariffs are going to affect my employment. My employer does a ton of importing & exporting to & from both. I was planning on asking for a raise; now I don’t know how long I’ll even be working there. With price hikes on the horizon, I may be looking to organize.

Our politicians have proven over and over that they don’t work for us. They only listen to money. Our only option is action. We cannot afford to sign another petition or donate to another .org with empty promises. Without massive money or massive action, Washington doesn’t listen.

We’ve got to stop assuming that we’ve only got 4 years of inconvenience. We need to start accepting that if we don’t do something soon, this is it… democracy is done.
