'Three Hundreds' Dark Old Ale by Chiltern Brewery. Satisfyingly dark but not impenetrable. Nice balance of dark roast & pale malts, hopped with the classics: Fuggles & Goldings.
Lovely. And just as well. Guess who's got a mini-keg of it for the weekend. 🍻

A public service announcement that The Silver Penny is currently lashing out cask pints of Old Peculier, Jaipur, Bateman's Dark Fruits, Hook Norton Twelve Days and Milestone Hammerhead Stout, all immaculately conditioned and pocket-change priced. I doubt there's a better beer offer in Dublin today.

Keeping it Welsh this weekend. Machlud Mawddach Cwrw Golau brewed in Aberystwyth using Czech hops and Kaffir lime leaves to give a clean crisp citrus taste.
Tbh, that's a complex flavour profile that I lack the ability to adequately describe. 😁
