I consider myself a Wally Wood fan (with several originals of my own) but... I didn't know about this. Apparently in the early 60's Wally pitched a Sunday newspaper strip showcasing famous people, and made up some presentation pieces, like this one.

As music theorists are talking about how well-constructed and -written Life of a Showgirl is, media outlets are reconsidering their initial reaction, and "Fate of Ophelia" is tied for her longest stay at #1, can we all admit that passing judgement on a single listen is a bad way to evaluate art?
I get not liking something, but the complaint that “if I don’t like something means it’s not good and anyone who says they like it are obviously liars, and any good review is payola” is so fucking boring.

My unpopular opinion: sometimes, your local coffee shop is more expensive and doesn’t taste as good as Starbucks. Not all the time, and you are giving to a corporate giant with sketchy union policies. But sometimes the coffee is better and the prices are lower.

Back on my shoulder shit after 5 days’ break from the gym, listening to my favorite cozy finance podcast (it’s not giving me any new advice, but it’s reinforcing the stuff I need to keep in mind for my Festive and Frugal holiday season) and feeling like my Tokyo sleep craze might finally be over.

Design project done for the day (although I have a slew of edits, I have to do either tonight or early tomorrow), finance meeting done, and finishing up the podcast before I head out to the family farm. One of these days, a vacation will actually be a rest. Not this weekend!
