During the election lead, whenever anybody started talking about how we really need to care about Americans as well as those overseas, the reaction always seemed to be that we were thinking small mindedly. Now Americans are being kidnapped and thrown into gulags.

The "own goals" are just so wildly unbalanced. "Biden running again" vs "got millions of Americans killed and destroyed faith in the medical society."

I don't want to be Old Guy here, but is deliberately staying out of touch with popular culture the goal or just a weird side effect of being that cut off? I guarantee you the person who selected Addison Rae got a lot of shit for cowtowing to popular opinion.

Like it's okay to like the movie. It's great! It's okay to think of it as a Christmas movie! THE DEBATE DOESN'T NEED TO STILL HAPPEN, especially if it exists SOLELY to start fights.

It just kind of speaks to the current "first weekend" obsession with movies. If people don't like it IMMEDIATELY, then it's not good and not worth my time. Cheers took a season and a half to catch on with people. Ditto Seinfeld. Next Generation took 2.5 seasons. And Shawshank flopped!

And yeah, then I’ll find myself in some out of the way shop and I’ll be like hey can I have my coffee in a way I would enjoy, and the answer is no why the fuck would a person want that? It’s snobbishness and ironically a mass lemmings effect that automatically call it bad.

For decades I’ve been hearing, “Starbucks makes the worst coffee! Why would anyone drink it?!” And then you’re like well millions drink it, and of course popularity connotes lower quality and pandering to the masses, never that a lot of people like something because it’s good.

As stated in my post, yes, plenty of people make worse coffee than Starbucks. Some of them are local mom and pop places. And syrups for coffee were invented in San Francisco in one of those mom and pop shops, but how can I expect you to do research when you don’t have any interest in reading a post?
