Isn’t that Wayne Rooney?
In difficult times, there will emerge those that step up. And what makes this guy dangerous is his clarity in exposing the hypocrisy. (He’s also going to attract the hot priest enthusiasts)

If anyone lost a bag of books from LRB Bookshop on the Metropolitan Line between Baker St- Watford, I handed it to a cleaner when the train terminated at Watford tube station. And if you have far more followers than me, please share this status. LRB bookshop is not cheap!
It an argument you’d ever win
I hope they prepared to sign a contract to that effect. Certainly helps bring rents down
I loved Look & Learn. As an information hungry child it was one of my major sources of education. Like the BBC2 of comics.

I'd like to see wider use of the term "wealth hoarders."
I will not, as discussed before, read another single story that is clutching pearls about people's reproductive choices. But every time I see one, I'll remind you that there is no economic problem that cannot be solved with immigration and/or taxing wealth hoarders.

Family size around the world is dropping. That choice by couples is triggering a population shift that's sending shock waves through economies.
I was once walking by a hedgerow with my partner, when a small bird landed in front of us. When I identified it as a Dunnock, she accused me of making in up. When we got home I dig out the RSPB guide to prove my point, although she’d forgotten the whole incident by then.

What the hell are you up to, Wes Anderson…
Expelled from Roedean for her decadent ways, she spent her twenties on the Côte d’Azur as the companion to a number of scions of the shipping trade

Truly exemplary work, which probably prevented the awful situation last night from becoming even worse.
Whatever else comes out once the attack on the ECML train last night, this alone is a credit to the train crew, driver, and signalling team.

Huntingdon was the first possible stop. In a highly stressful situation and improvising a plan the train lost just 3 minutes vs line speed to get there.

Huntingdon - This comment from Simon Calder is worth repeating.

Long shot but if anyone would be keen on last minute tickets to see METAL GEAR SOLID played by an orchestra tonight at the Royal Albert Hall at 7pm, let me know?

Partner can’t use his ticket tonight and if we can pass it to someone who can and can recover even some costs we’d like to
Yes, Speedway & Greyhound racing too. All GB manufacture was for export, & rationing limited availability. So, with full employment & plenty of ready cash folk had no choice but to spend it going out. Not unusual to visit cinema 3 times a week.
