Didn’t suggest that. They should have been less vitriolic in some of the comments they made. Left a sour taste in lots of members’ mouths and probably lost her the campaign.

I cannot fathom why they - especially Bridget - fought Lucy Powell so vigorously. It just creates an artificial dividing line for them to get hammered with.

Thanks. Hopeful it will all come together, as can see a very strong argument for left-wing coalition at the next election. There are plenty of seats Greens can win, and plenty the pseudonymous “Your Party” can win. An electoral coalition and tactical voting is the only way we’ll stop Reform.

It’s just as confusing for the activists. I suspect because someone - cough - prematurely launched both the party and the membership portal, there was no time to put together an activist / volunteer toolbox. I’d have gone about it all completely differently and it’s been extremely messy as a result.

Which is very shaky ground to start a new movement on - but probably a (short term) necessary evil to ensure a pro-trans rights party can get off the ground. Either that or I’m hopelessly naive! I’m optimistic it will either be pro-trans rights or die a rapid death and members go Green instead…

Really appreciate it. I suspect the unfortunate truth is that they couldn’t split the Independent Group without killing the party before it got off the ground, so are using party democracy as a shield to force anyone who holds transphobic views to accept it or leave of their own volition.

… with full-throated party support of trans rights as soon as there’s some actual structure and leadership in place. I truly believe it but understand how frustrating it must be right now, waiting in purgatory.

Unfortunately it’s just a lot of people muddling through. As it was launched prematurely, no time for a volunteer toolbox - afraid that’s causing huge frustration ‘on the ground’, with activists who want direction. Really hope I’m right and that it comes together…

As a note, there are no official pages. I know this as I run the Your Party Putney pages. It’s all currently being done by random members on the ground. Not ideal! And agree it needs to be addressed ASAP.
