I actually wrote the copy for Slippy's Armory Deck, and I can tell you that the it/its pronouns are deliberate... To me it seemed the obvious choice for the character and they let me do it.

on a personal level, i do quite enjoy riftbound. i am hoping that it does have staying power, though, as i feel like it could fall into the pitfalls that other tcgs that try and tow the line between casual and competitive do.
