I'm actually surprised that with a shady construction project going on in DC, Fort Myer Construction isn't part of it this time.

Between the artillery on I-5, the helicopter pilots hitting another plane near National and killing everyone on both aircraft, & even the nurderdeathkill thing going on with boats in the southern Caribbean, it seems like any culture of operational risk management has disappeared DoD wide.

Walking around DC & Alexandria w Rachel & Ebby over a decade ago, the largest friction point was 'we wait for the crosswalk light vs 'no we dont have too'. And yeah, I was in the first camp.
Walking back across the mall, the real revolutionary thought is what if the monumental core was this car free all the time.
(And also, as a said before, I deliberately keeping myself out of the limits of the main crowd for personal comfort)
But also i'm here by myself because my wife is out of town and I just decided to show up at the last minute.
(My current weight just qualifies me for ICE or state national guard duty)
