The UCP have introduced their legislation to break the teachers' strike, Bill 2. It does invoke the notwithstanding clause. With aggressive use of 'time allocation' to restrict debate, the government is expected to push the bill through all three readings this evening.

Just to be clear, this 2026-27 pre-order was announced in August of this year as reported by @stalbertgazette.bsky.social .

BUT it was not announced at the time that pre-ordering for 2026-27 would be cut off in mid Dec this year.

🚨 This is inexplicable news to share. If in Alberta and you want flu and covid shots for NEXT year (2026-2027), you have only until December 15 of THIS year to order them.

This is not incompetence. It’s a deliberate choice to prevent as many people ..
