pretty sure that question will remain unanswered.

Of course they hate it. Anything that diminishes the king that they revere must be anti-American. Quite the upside down world.

Yes, car 'ownership' to keep the masses locked in.

U.S. CAR LOAN DEBT HITS RECORD LEVELS A growing number of Americans owe more on their cars than they’re worth. In 3Q, 28.1% of trade-ins had negative equity—the highest since 1Q 2021—with an average upside-down loan of $6,905. Nearly a quarter of these trade-ins carried over

This is the road where people are driving 154 km/h. A residential area with young families on one side, a park on the other.

And yet for some reason, people are clocking Autobahn speeds here. A few years ago a guy doing 100 killed an elderly couple. 1,500 crashes on this stretch in the past decade

This makes so much sense. Instead we have Doug Fraud making things better (faster?) for those who speed.
taras-grescoe.com
In #Switzerland, fine for a speeding driver is based (1) on how far over the limit the driver is going
(2) on how much the driver earns.

One man caught driving his Ferrari at 137 km/h the in an 80 km/h zone in a village near St. Gallen was fined 300,000 Swiss Francs (today, $375,000 US).

Pay attention, Canada. OpenAI is currently trying to make a deal with our government to build data centres here. Our hydro bills are about to go *way* up. 😑
natebowling.com
Open AI is currently building a data center in Texas that will require roughly the equivalent of the power the Hoover Dam produces to operate.

Last week the Whitehouse killed a renewable energy project that was going to produce as much powers as three Hoover Dams.

None of this makes any sense.

For what purpose? We desperately need medical professionals of all kinds - from nurses, to doctors. This is another stupid, stupid thing to do. but, it came from Doug Fraud so I'm sure one of his pals is making money from this.

"We are considering terminating business with China having to do with Cooking Oil" is an all-timer. Thank you Mr President, we appreciate your insights.
Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

I believe that China purposefully not buying our Soybeans, and causing difficulty for our Soybean Farmers, is an Economically Hostile Act. We are considering terminating business with China having to do with Cooking Oil, and other elements of Trade, as retribution. As an example, we can easily produce Cooking Oil ourselves, we don’t need to purchase it from China.

This is going to be what pops the AI bubble and sends the stock market into a tailspin, isn’t it?

Yes the Americans will be buying cheap lumber from Russia. Think about that…..
rparmarbc.bsky.social
Canadian lumber built the roofs over American families. But now, according to Trump, it’s a national security risk…

This economic attack is a major blow to our sector.

But we’re coming together - industry, First Nations, and government. And we’re fighting back.

Trump put the brakes on the release of Israeli hostages from Hamas for election advantage.
