It has been quite the homecoming for the comedy writer Graham Linehan after returning from Arizona, where he lives. After a sleepless ten-hour flight he was met at Heathrow on Monday by five armed police officers who put him under arrest.

His alleged offence was the posting of tweets including one making reference to punching transgender women in the genitals if they refused to leave female-only spaces.

Nigel Farage, the Reform UK leader, cited Linehan’s arrest as evidence Britain was becoming “North Korea” when he appeared before a US congressional committee. Kemi Badenoch, the Tory leader, accused the authorities of “thought policing” and Sir Keir Starmer said police should concentrate on serious crime.

If that was not eventful enough, on Thursday Linehan, 57, presented himself at Westminster magistrates’ court to face accusations from a transgender teenager in a separate case.

It was in the midst of this trial that he gave his first interview detailing his arrest at Heathrow and why he felt he can no longer live in the UK.

Linehan, the creator of Father Ted and other hit TV sitcoms, said: “I’ve never felt better because I’ve exposed the way British police are working in tandem with trans activists. #TransAgendaClips

This was not an uncommon tactic of theirs. Some were overt with 'go kill yourself' type things. Others thought they were being subtle and big brain manipulative. Both of which can be REALLY harmful to vulnerable people.

Dismayed by the "I loathe Gl**ner but his arrest should scare us all" takes. The bar for arrest over a social media post *should be extremely high*, but a guy who's harassed trans people 19 hours a day for 8 years, telling his 600k fans to attack any trans women they see, clears that bar v easily?

Linehan is trying to argue in court that the teenager he publicly stalked, harassed, and assaulted is secretly lying about being a minor and his proof is that she's trans

Honestly the whole story is really good if you want to see the story he's telling himself so he can see himself as heroic.

He said Ms Brooks has been involved in trans activism since 2013.

Prosecutor Julia Faure Walker said Ms Brooks would have been six years old at that time.

‘So he says,’ Linehan replied.

Ms Faure Walker said that Ms Brooks’ driving licence proves she is 18.

‘If you can lie about your name and sex you can lie about anything,’ Linehan replied.

This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.
