Today was a tough one! 30-Minute Run (first one post-race), 15-Minute Kettlebell Workout (Caroline Girvan) and a 15-Minute Pilates Mat workout. I'm now on the couch with a bowl of soup and some water (I've also had some electrolytes and protein).
Someone send peanut butter cups.

Sadly we got the news today that The Great North is officially cancelled. I’m pretty sad about it. It’s one of a very small number of shows I’ve worked on that I genuinely loved and I really loved the whole talented crew I worked with. I feel lucky to have been there.

It's a rainyish day in DC (yes, I know that's not a real word). So I'm meal prepping for the next few weeks by making Superhero Muffins; Kale and Sweet Potato for breakfasts this week. Everything Bagel and Quinoa, Sausage, Veggie Ones for the freezer.

While I have been incredibly fortunate in my life to always know that I have a roof over my head, I have volunteered with the homeless and this is true. Most of the people I met were good people who had been failed by the system.
I was homeless when I got out of the military
I lived in my car while going back to school when I 1st got to New Jersey because housing fell through
I was a foster kid growing up so it wasn't like I could call my family to help
Homeless people have dignity & don't deserve to be treated like shit.

I just hate the way our society views the homeless. I’ve been homeless before and that shit ain’t easy to get out of. Ppl aren’t on the street bc they want to be. They’re not less human than you. And you could easily find yourself out there in today’s world. Have some compassion.
