Medical charts are wild and seemingly impossible to correct, because someone once erroneously entered my taking Allegra for seasonal allergies as an allergy *to* Allegra and when I went in for the colonoscopy last week there was a giant red ALLERGY bracelet for me to wear.

My local Walgreens once used my human health insurance to fill my dog’s prescription and now every time I go to the doctor they ask “so are you still taking the telmisartan?”

Did you know if you get a prescription for your dog filled through CVS, CVS will send every text message about the prescription addressed to your dog with (dog) in parentheses

Somehow gave myself a really good burn pulling a tray out of the oven while wearing oven mitts (touched my inner upper arm with the edge of the tray.) because of my tattoos I couldn’t see exactly where it was at first but now there’s a patch of peeling skin 😬

Sometimes you're at the gym and your brain says "I don't want to think or count reps anymore" and that's when you get on the stair stepper and dissociate.

I am a veteran of the dining hall commercial kitchen (worked there all through college) so I would have a matching scar on my inner forearm if it weren’t covered by tattoos. Not even sure how I did this to my *upper* arm, but at least I’m still somewhat used to burns even 25 years later.

Seconding this! And it may seem like ‘well everyone is doing RR or school watch now, they don’t need me‘ but we need a HUGE critical mass of people to cover this geographically very large city. Plus not everyone is available every minute of every day, so lot and lots of redundancy is necessary.

Our neighbors have been terrorized more over the weekend and are pretty scared. Hearing there’s been a lot of interest in rapid response, but schools may still need help. Talk to “friends of” or parent networks at your nearest school.

Yet they seem to hit all the right places. Street corners where folks are selling tamales or fruit or elotes. Random gas stations where workers try to get work for the day. Laundromats. Outside of homeless shelters. A blue line station.
