Amelia's human friend (Who I haven't come up with a name for yet) did some gift art.

Having fun with these two but I can't decide on a fun story for them yet!
A comic of Amelia and her currently unnamed human friend. The human is holding a piece of paper to her and she says "Is that... a picture of meeee?" The picture of Amelia drawn by her human friend

There, shifted the color scheme away from off white.

I needed to add my freckles in anyway. Aldi, I made my expression like 10% more irritated.

And that’s ALL I’m going to do to differentiate myself from AI. You know I’m not a plagiarism robot, and I’m not gonna change myself to prove it!

Amelia the Monster

A comic strip about a kid and their monster friend
"Hi, Amelia. What are you doing on my laptop?"
"Online Dating. It sounded like a good way to meet other monsters like me!" "Oh, huh."
"I never realized how formal dating is. Dates are called interviews or something..."
"I hate to ask but... what dating site are you using anyways?"
"Phew. Monster.com? Amelia, Tha-"
"Progressive huh? I had no idea human internet had websites like this!"
"I wonder what the Mcdonald guy is like? I think he's a chef.."
"I am putting parental controls on the router..."
Thank you for saying so! 😊
*You find yourself absolutely engulfed in a fuzzy hug*

They're just too much fun to draw and I should have been asleep over an hour ago.

You look at every culture that's ever existed and the running theme is everyone pretty much just wants to play/dance to music, make art, eat stewed meat wrapped in flat bread, and tell stories about the shapes we find in the stars. Somehow we turned that into wars and overtime and profit margins.
My problem with everything is that I know For A Fact that the purpose of life is frivolity. It is to fool around & pursue joy.
According to Richard Scarry's illustration, everyone has a comically long loaf of bread in Paris.

Heresy is a fraught term. And the long history of how power and authority have abused what is or is not named heretical is straightforwardly sordid and shameful.

But I am increasingly convinced the notion of heresy strongly describes what is happening in Trumpism.
Biblical Author: "In my book I discussed the Antichrist as a cautionary tale."

Peter Thiel: "At long last, we have created the Antichrist from classic religious text Don't Create The Antichrist!"
YES: that’s exactly my read on him too — he’s serious but in a “what if I read Walter Benjamin backwards to make the Fundamentalist Antichrist” kind of way — which only makes sense if you’ve done that intersection of readings
I agree with the other comments so far. I want to add that adding your purpose behind some of your work might click with more people. The creations are a part of you; what is it you wish to say about yourself and the world with the art you make? Share some of your introspection with your audience!
The studies of the humanities are incredibly important and times like these are proof of their value.
Hearing about Robert Munsch's health is indescribably sad.
The small things matter too

WIP of Claire.

I like this and will very likely finish it. Part of my ongoing “characters looking thoughtfully out of coffee shop windows” series.
Claire, a skunk with a full body Mohawk, staring out the window of a coffee shop, brooding.
