Andrew says he "will no longer use" the title of Duke of York or thr other honours previously conferred on him. Reporting says his title and honours have been "stripped" from him. Is "no longer use" just spin or is "stripped" spin?

I'm sure many of you have heard by now that earlier this week, IU k*lled the print edition of its student paper, the IDS. The issue that was supposed to print this week contained criticism of the Whitten regime and IUs further slide into scist control, and they couldn't allow that to happen during Homecoming, when all the rich alumni are in town.
Enter Purdue! The Purdue student paper, The Exponent, owns its own presses. Yesterday, in an act of tremendous solidarity with their biggest rival school, they printed the forbidden issue of the IDS. They then drove it to Bloomington overnight and stocked all of the IDS boxes on campus, just in time for Homecoming.
Solidarity is what makes us stronger, and solidarity will be what ultimately allows us to triumph, if we can ever truly get it together. I hope everyone has a fun, safe day if they're going out today, and I hope we can think about what acts of solidarity we can begin taking to really make this movement MOVE - beyond a permitted expression of upset into more active resistance.

Nearly 7 Million Attend Overwhelmingly Peaceful No Kings Day of Action
WASHINGTON, DC - In one of the largest single-day nationwide demonstrations in U.S. history, nearly seven million Americans gathered today, 2 million more than June, in over 2,700 cities and towns for the No Kings Day of Peaceful Action, standing together in nonviolent defiance of authoritarianism and affirming that this nation belongs to its people, not to kings.
With more than 2,700 lawful and peaceful protests across all 50 states, today's mobilization was 14 times larger than both of President Trump's presidential inaugurations combined, marking a historic moment of unity and resistance. From rural communities to major metropolitan centers, the message was clear: America will not be ruled by fear, force, or one man's power grab.
While the Republican-led government shutdown continues to wreak havoc, forcing hundreds of thousands of families to go without pay and cutting off critical services, the people they represent are stepping up to lead. Across districts, neighbors are organizing, marching, and demanding a government that serves the many, not the powerful few.
Our work continues in big cities and small towns around this country and we will not back down to President Trump's continued abuse of power. There will be regular opportunities in the coming days and weeks to take action with No Kings and we will be regularly sharing community rights resources.

Family dynamics can be really messed up and we can put up with them for a lot of complicated reasons which are often more about how we want to be in the world rather than how we are actually treated. You're doing the best you can and that's enough

Claire, do you know if Oriana has assistance with her legal fees? I hate that brave people are out there being arrested for peacefully protesting ICE and are then potentially being bankrupted defending the charges. Even though conviction might be a stretch, the legal fees alone are punitive

"What I love about what's happening in Portland is that we're refusing the binary of 'cower or fight," she says. “As a city of creative weirdos, we're claiming a third option: irreverence, humor, joy as resistance. And here's the thing - fascists have no counter-argument to that. They can't match wits. Theirs is not a culture of humor, because humor requires surprise and creativity, the exact opposite of control and conformity. You can't legislate against a naked bike ride or a dance party."
