Day 8 of the #HooklandChristmasTree decoration and the glass Ghost Bear finds a place. A semi-opaque spectre, he reflects silver tinsel, white fairy lights while haunting the branches. All the other ornaments seem to keep a respectful distance away, almost as if they can hear his roar for revenge.

I reacted and killed a tiny spider ☹️
It came out of my lunch kit and I didn't even think of brushing it off. I just squished it.

I didn't mean to do that I just reacted before thinking.

I'm sorry little spider.

Waking up to work asking for staff to come in.
Great start to the week. They used to offer over time pay but got into trouble so they stopped. So now casuals aren't picking up the shifts like they used to.
There was a position posted that was 1 shift per pay period. If I was wealthy enough to not

Right now my horror novel BEDFELLOW is on sale for $1.99 on Kindle and Bookshop. I have no idea how long the sale will last.

A signal boost would be a colossal help.

I'm trying to remember the age my parents just let me roam around until the street lights came on.
Definitely after I got my 1st bike and then soon after my sister got hers.
My friends lived with blocks of me. I had the meeting place as my back yard was the parking lot of the grocery store

Do you think every organization is going to give him a Peace Prize? Like Arby’s?

Although I'm using my (too big for me art journal) I still want a smaller book.
I've been looking through my older and smaller one. It just feels more intimate to work in.

If that makes any sense.

I want a smaller book!

As Genx im a little tired of these babies "discovering" things we all already probably still have around somewhere.
Wait until they discover tapes and cursive writing!
Dude, I still have my Walkman player.

I'm watching a movie which part of it is set on a remote island in northern Scotland.
There isn't much but a small village and some houses.

How do people feed themselves?

If only I was this witty with a snub.
What a marvellous snub from Gertrude Stein to Ezra Pound, who tried to invite himself over: ‘I am so sorry, answered Gertrude Stein, but Miss Toklas has a bad tooth and beside we are busy picking wild flowers.’

I always feel like such an outsider when people rave about a book and I'm kinda meh about it.

Rave on, peeps, but it was just ok for me.

Goodnight from The Mordant Arms, where the pub is thoroughly split on whether to believe if Neville Mercer’s van was attacked by a Fethrower. Goodnight from Trotton Grove, where the deep veins of the land throb with malice at recent plans for oil field expansion. Goodnight from Hookland.

Goodnight Hookland. ❤️
Goodnight from Janet Rathbone, instinctively leaning in from the family car’s passenger window as if the darkness outside might shatter it at any moment. Goodnight from Freda Dix, rearranging knickknacks on her mantlepiece in hope of apotropaic alignment. Goodnight from Hookland.

Tho my dad was kind, not once did I ever hear him say my mother's name in all the years I knew him.
He spoke to her, I'm sure when they were alone together, after my sis & I moved out. My bro never did (story for another time), but all throughout childhood & beyond I never heard him say her name.

In the cab on the way home from groceries, the driver turned on the radio. It was cbc. The doc was about people facing imminent death and how they were rejoicing in the time they had.
Jesus Murphy didn't I almost start crying in the back of the cab.
So, me being me, I immediately stuffed my tears
