Super Mario Sunshine is the only 3D Mario platformer in which Mario gets tired of hanging from a ledge. After 17 seconds of holding on, he will start shaking uncontrollably, and let go 3 seconds later. In the other platformers, he can hang from ledges indefinitely without issue.
