in certain situations, it can be a make or break thing. in other situations, it really doesn't matter. if the game is on a 16x16, 32x32, 48x48 etc grid then cutting it down would def help. i would say include both versions if possible, just so the dev can choose what would work best for them. :)

in my opinion, the ideal is like 3-4 people in chat at a time. just having a handful of people to hang out with would personally be enough for me, i think a huge audience would get too overwhelming too quickly
