Remember a few years back where a woman went viral for being horny for the Grinch, and insisted it was actually a very common thing?

I’m glad to see she was able to get a job with McDonald’s.

“Hey, we should make a remote controlled flying toy of Sonic the Hedgehog.”

“Oh, the guy who often gets carried around by his friend who flies by spinning his tails like a helicopter? Great idea!”

“Yeah, I figured we’d have him in a standing pose with rotors growing out of his head.”

I love how we just get random drops of new Homestar Runner content once or twice a year with relatively minimal fanfare. Just casually releasing a new Strong Bad Email in 2025, as though it’s the most normal thing in the world.
It's Monday. So I thought I'd checka my email.

I realized as we left the movie that I wore a green cardigan and black jeans to Wicked: For Good. I’m sure someone at the theater thought I was coordinating on purpose.

The Dodgers’ minor league affiliate is in Oklahoma City, and my wife and I get a seven-game ticket package every year. I remember seeing Will Smith play when he was playing in OKC. If the Dodgers win because he got a home run in the 11th, I can’t help but be happy for him.

Imagine if that had failed, and the World Series ended on a little league-style collision between two outfielders.

My favorite ramen place is opening a new location, and it’s much closer to me. I greatly appreciate their decision to do this right before soup weather fully hits.

The Pokémon Go level rebalance has arrived. And with it, the rush of bonuses from going from Level 45 to 68 means that I have roughly 1,300 items above my bag size.

So now I get to play “how much do I toss versus how long am I willing to wait before being able to spin stops again?”

It’s kind of funny that I find myself wishing there had been a longer wait for Mario Kart. The theming was so good, I wish I had more time to take in some of the little references.

Also, you can barely see it in the photo, but that portrait of Bowser was signed by Miyamoto himself.

Two more pics from Donkey Kong Country. The banana/pineapple ice cream was amazing, and I noticed the iconic treehouse on our way out.

I think we’re close to the end of the line. We’re getting lectured by Cranky Kong.

Universal absolutely killed it on the theming for Epic Universe’s Nintendo world. You go through a warp pipe to Peach’s Castle and exit into this.

Dropped Jessie off at the cat hotel this morning. After being in his room for about 18 seconds, he already started yelling at his noisy neighbor.

This is such a slam dunk Secret Lair. The Play-Doh models for the art are really cool and unique, the fact that they all have a token theme is a cool connecting thread, and it’s four cards that are actually worth playing? The Extra Life SLs are always pretty good, but I REALLY like this one.
This year's Extra Life charity secret lair (print to demand) is themed after Play-Doh, with art made of it! More previews at http://www.mtgpreviews.com/SLD

I actually love that Pokémon Pokopia’s protagonist is a Ditto that is uncanny valley mimicking a human. Taking a game that otherwise looks wholesome and relaxing and sprinkling in just a pinch of unsettling body horror is a fun choice.

The absolute best thing they’re doing with the Magic the Gathering Spider-Man set is including a subset of cards that are just “New York City”. If you wanted to make these cards about Actual NYC you wouldn’t have to even edit Spider-Man out of the art, just say it’s a Times Square guy.

Mega Hawlucha might actually be perfect. Its design suggests power without being too over-the-top, fitting in nicely with the established Megas. It fixes the issue where the region that introduced Megas didn’t get any in-game rep. And it gives a boost to a popular but slightly underpowered Pokémon.
Serebii Update: Mega Hawlucha has been officially revealed

Sarah and I agreed to temp foster a dog who was possibly pregnant, but probably not far enough along to worry about giving birth for the 5 days we’d have her.

Anyway, I let her out earlier, and 5 minutes after bringing her in Artemis starts barking. Look what I find just laying in the grass!
