That’s been my read of it as well. I don’t think Nintendo has ever behaved like a non-profit; I think they’ve always taken every opportunity to make more money, even in the Iwata years that everyone idolizes.

But right now everything sucks. And nostalgia behind a high price will be met with venom.

There’s definitely a loud contingent of people complaining (which is fine— be smart with your money). But all signs point to YouTube and the outrage expressed there being a very small cut of the overall audience.

I’ll wait for Galaxy 2 to go on a bit of a sale, personally.
