Opinions distress is officially over.
It really has been an amazing 15 years. Thank you to Governor Sonny Perdue and the people of Georgia for allowing me to serve them on the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia. I hope to continue doing so for many years to come.
I hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. And as always, please be good to each other.

Fifteen years ago, Gov. Perdue announced my appointment to the Court of Appeals of GA. I’ll always be grateful for the confidence & trust he placed in me with that decision. These have been the most wonderful, challenging, & humbling years of my life. I’m truly blessed to have a vocation I love.
I hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. And as always, please be good to each other.

In your charity, please pray for my mom. She’s been in and out of the hospital lately and is now in hospice care. I am not sure how much longer she’ll be with us, but I am going to treasure the time I have left with her.
I hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. And as always, please be good to each other.
Today seems like an appropriate day to remember that one glorious time Taylor Swift made me look like a cool dad.

Thanks again, Taylor! I can’t wait to listen to your new album.
I hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. And as always, please be good to each other.
Here are some additional photos from our offsite oral argument session in Valdosta.

Amidst all the bad news we hear let me share some good news. The Georgia Court of Appeals made the long trip down from Atlanta to Valdosta to hold oral arguments in our beautifully restored historic courthouse today. I would guess close to a 100 students came out in addition to many other citizens.
The Fourth Division of the Court of Appeals of Georgia had a wonderful time holding oral arguments in Valdosta today. The bench and bar of Valdosta and Valdosta State University were gracious hosts, and we throughly enjoyed meeting so many judges, lawyers, educators, students, and citizens.

Today would have been my dad’s 88th birthday.

Dr. Jerry W. Dillard loved his family and friends, teaching students to work with special-needs children, Alabama Football, boating, yard work, music, PBR, and Bama Bino Pizza.

He is dearly missed.
Happy Constitution Day!

May we all strive and work together for a “more perfect union.”
