The most relatable part of the third episode of #Pluribus is that the collective wisdom of all humanity is still utterly unable to recognize basic sarcasm.

I remain impressed by some of the absolutely remarkable ways that Penn State has managed to lose games

3. Laurel, Mississippi, provides the primary setting (and indirectly, the title) for what HGTV renovation series starring local husband-and-wife team Ben and Erin Napier?

Counterpoint: While I don’t love the NFL overtime system, it’s at least more fair now than the current college overtime system, which is just a glorified series of coin flips after the second OT.
College football overtime has its faults, but it's better than NFL overtime.

Iowa has dragged Indiana straight into the slop, which is conveniently right where they want them

That Allen scramble would have been impressive if Lamar hadn’t done what he just did

Me: Lamar better throw that away!
*two seconds later*
Me: Yep, that’s why I’m watching from home because I know nothing. 🤣

That’s a madly impressive win by Carlitos! Beating Jannik Sinner on a hard court is the tallest task in tennis, and he rose to the challeng, albeit helped by a really sketchy serving performance by Jannik. And the top two close out the year with two a piece, totally fitting.

Third set looking like the Cincy final at the moment
September 7, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Quick note re: the U.S. Open men’s final: Obviously I like Sinner here, he’s the best hard-courter in the world at the moment. The one exception is if he’s not 100%. Something seemed up physically during his semi, but FAA was having issues of his own. Carlos can exploit that if it’s still an issue.
