Sorry what's that second one again? I'm in the Mariners' lineup right now btw.

It's the bottom of the 19th. The Mariners have loaded the bases but Randy Arozarena swings through a Jahmai Jones curveball down the middle. 2-2 to the 20th we go

This Thanksgiving weekend I'm thankful to not be a Tigers or Mariners fan who has to watch this game.

This Mariners/Tigers series has been the World Series for us sickos.

Imagine wanting to sacrifice this for the zombie runner.

I would like to congratulate baseball on having its 16th consecutive successful season.

Judge is such a bum in the postseason. What is he hitting? .480? Jeter would have robbed two of Vladdy's homers and hit a 5-homer.
josephroso.bsky.social
Schneider got away with it...but I refuse to believe that putting the tying run on base in front of three guys who have hit 24+ homers this year is the right call. Even if it's Aaron Judge and even if you get the platoon advantage.

starting to doubt the Jay's ability to win a postseason game in which they score fewer than 8+ runs

If I had a nickle every time the Yankees gave up an infield single on a routine groundball to first in a playoff elimination game...

Each Vladito playoff homer against the Yankees feels worth $500m

Look, I'm the last one to gas up freaking Sportsnet. But I do enjoy dropping 30 CAD and getting to watch all the playoff baseball while the suckers in the States have to piece together nonsense cable subscriptions for double the price.

I resent the implication of this skeet but do not dispute it.

Our special issue of Sociological Focus on Religion and Politics in American Congregations is now published and all articles are open access (at least for now). This is the highest concentration of such work ever published together and it's very good. I put the details and links in a blogpost.

This is plausible, but given the significant polling miss in 2020 it's also plausible that polls were overstating opposition to DJT45 and have since been corrected for DJT47.

Likely it's some combination of the two...but hard to say what the mix is when the analysis and data are proprietary.

Trump's net-approval is sitting at -8%

That's a lot better than the -17% he was at during August 2017

Americans have become normalized to Trump's radical and extremist rhetoric and actions, and this is proof of such

how much money has been wasted and ink spilled over Trump’s ostensible political coalition, which disintegrated in a few months?

Update: Sox lost and, upon reflection, it was presumptuous of me to make such a banal petition to the Holy Father.
