I know officials with a much better understanding of the rules call it an interception. But I’ll see it as a catch for the rest of my life.

@joeposnanski.com I more than doubled the amount that your Team Gleason fundraiser has totaled!

It helps that I was one of the first handful of contributors. Nonetheless, this is a proud moment for me.

I love that Kyle Tucker got an opt-out on his four-year, $240 million deal. What exactly would Kyle Tucker have to hit to opt out of that contract?

Will moving the walls make a big difference? Who knows!
Is the lack of regulation around outfield dimensions fun and goofy? Yes.

The Royals are bringing in the fences. A few thoughts on how home field can become a bigger advantage — or, in some cases, the opposite.

As my friend @joeposnanski.com likes to say, how much you enjoy something depends a lot on your expectations going in. This Panthers season was SO much better than expectations. What a joy.

A friend of mine makes this point: A 20-oz bottle of Dasani water at my local CVS will cost you $2.39. Your CVS may vary.

That means that a gallon of Dasani Water — bought in individual bottles from my local CVS — costs $15.30.

Just something to think about when you go to the gas station.

Of course, the Ravens didn't part ways with John Harbaugh over one single play, but how did that missed kick bend the story?

Four divisions of eight teams? Eight division of four teams? How would you choose to organize 32 MLB teams?

So so so good in The Life of Chuck, the most under appreciated movie of the year, I think.
The Wild Robot, The King of Kings, The Life Of Chuck, The Long Walk, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants. Five completely diverse films, unified solely by the word “the” (and me). 2025 was quite THE year. #HappyNewYear

Well, it happened. Our Guy Stefanski is out, but not before one more record-breaking performance from Myles Garrett.

Finally starting this today, but reading it in my best attempt at a This Day in History order, for an anniversary significant to that player (Koufax perfect game, Randy Johnson/bird, etc.). Or today, Adrian Beltre signing with the Rangers. Should be fun to savor it all year, @joeposnanski.com

It really is amazing how the direction of one kick can entirely alter the mood.

That Myles Garrett sack is the happiest Browns moment since … I’m coming up blank.

A (Very) Quick Look Back at 2025
I didn't really want to do a year in review — but it's the law. So here are a few favorite moments from 2025, and a wish for the year ahead.
