The police exist to protect private property and the owner class. They do not exist to protect us. They refuse to take action against stalkers or harrassers, they are not legally required to protect people, and they kill dogs almost as much as the ATF does. We can live without police and be safer.

If the events of this week and the reality of the Private Healthcare Industry have shown us anything, it is that we need to think about other ways of doing things.

What's cool about America is that the NYPD are going to put like 10000x the effort into catching this Health Insurance CEO shooter than if he had just gunned down a random poor person, because the rich and powerful are inherently more important, and everyone understands that perfectly well.
