i think the ultimate gift for them is if max christie comes into this year and all of a sudden it’s like whoa this guy is really good if you trust him on offense and let him cook. that happens and i get crazy optimistic and think they could go toe to toe with denver

my take is that flagg/AD/lively on the court at the same time could be actually very overwhelming for bad teams and many good teams to handle. maximize those three on the court together and then hopefully having way more Definitely NBA Caliber Players than they usually have will also be good

for this week’s My Time Back, i wrote about Benjamin Moser’s great and gargantuan biography of Susan Sontag and i wrote about how her work can always outdistance her life if you give yourself the time with it. also i wrote about her jacket and kristen stewart mytimeback.beehiiv.com/p/sontag-2019

But it would be borderline irresponsible for me to gloss over how cool she looks on the cover.
She is rocking a black leather jacket and a little bit of grey in her hair that suggests I bet you would love to be in a New York loft, surrounded by people of whom you have some vague sense are important or smart, with an hors devours in your hand engaging in deep conversation with me. But buddy, let me tell you something: That would not go well for you.
I would absolutely eviscerate you in the realm of considered topics. This leather jacket on you would scream 'I buy books about economic mindfulness on Amazon dot com.'
